Mission Statement

The mission of the All Male Conference is to inspire young males from all ethnic backgrounds and eudcational levels to reflect on their cultural past in order to foster leadership qualities that will provide social, economic, cultural and political development.

Registration

Conference fees should be submitted directly to the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs prior OR on the day of the conference at the Registration booth. The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs is located on the 5th Floor of the LBJ Student Center in Suite 5-2.2.  For assistance, please contact 512.245.2278. 


Call for Workshops

This year the conference is looking for well-rounded speakers who can bring a new perspective to participants. What we are asking of you is to cultivate your speaking talent and abilities to assist us in promoting leadership, self confidence, financial planning, nutrition and health, etiquette, time management, and empowerment. These are only a few of the ideas and themes that we would like to facilitate in this year’s All Male Conference.

More than just presentations, we are asking for interactive sessions which will engage conference participants.

 
Please complete a Workshop Proposal Form. Once completed, submit to the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs at Texas State University-San Marcos, Attn: Jesse Silva via fax or mail. 
 
If you are interested in presenting a workshop, submit the following information by October 1, 2009
  • Workshop Proposal Form
  • Abstract – include workshop title, presenter(s) name, workshop outline, and workshop description (Description must be 150 words or less; for publication in program)
  • Presenter(s) biography
 
Before submitting your proposal, please be sure to read the attached Workshop Criteria and Guidelines. The application deadline is Wednesday, October 15, 2009. After reviewing all proposals, we will inform you if your workshop has been accepted. Please provide a bio with your proposal.
