Mission Statement

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA), inclusive of the TRiO Programs (Rural and Urban Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound and Student Support Services), is to provide support for underrepresented students with the purpose of degree completion and the development of skills for life long success.

Vision Statement

MSA aspires to provide cutting-edge knowledge and skills for the preparation of students as leaders and change-agents in a culturally diverse and global society.

Goals

1. Provide culturally sensitive, holistic academic and educational support services to underrepresented and first generation students.
2. Develop and coordinate programs and services to retain underrepresented students through degree completion/success through retention initiatives.
3. Provide opportunities for underrepresented and first generation students to acquire skills that will assist students to thrive in a culturally diverse and global society.
