Established in 2005, SSS: Bobcat Leadership Board became a registered student organization at Texas State University – San Marcos in the fall of 2007. SSS: Bobcat Leadership Board is Student Support Services’ first student organization and exists as the liaison between SSS participants and SSS staff members. The board, under the advisement of our grant specialist, offers many different opportunities for the participants of Student Support Services to get involved in the San Marcos community, Texas State community, as well as grow in their leadership styles and meet new and interesting students.
The purpose of this organization is to enhance the quality of the Student Support Services program by organizing social activities for the program participants; educate the campus about disability issues and other concerns; perform community service projects; publicize Student Support Services throughout campus and advise the SSS staff about participant interests.
