Learning Outcomes 2008-2009

Outcome Number 1

Learning Outcome: Student who participate in Multicultural Programs will be able to identify multiple cultures represented at Texas State.

Program Outcome: The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will sponsor multicultural programs that provide student with opportunities to gain knowledge about diverse cultures at Texas State.

Outcome Number 2

Learning Outcome: Underrepresented students who participate in TRiO (SSS, ETS, UB, RTS) academic and support programs will be able to demonstrate progress towards the achievement of the programs' academic requirements.

Program Outcome: TRiO programs will provide academic support programs which increase students' opportunities to develop skills which enable participants to achieve their academic goals.

Outcome Number 3

Learning Outcome: Multicultural student leaders who participate in Multicultural Students Affairs leadership programs will be able to demonstrate diversity leadership skills (i.e. make presentations on diversity, develop diversity programs, relay concepts of diversity, and knowledge of social justice).

Program Outcome: The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs will expand program opportunites to increase student knowledge of complex diversity concepts (i.e. social justice, racism, privilege and oppression).
