Student Program Funding Applications

Multicultural Programs Committee (MPC)

Submit completed application forms to jw25@txstate.edu, sb02@txstate.edu, md14@txstate.edu and copy your advisor on this email. Please instruct your advisor to “Reply to All” after receiving your proposal email, and to give their approval. MPC meets to consider proposals the 2nd Thursday of every month. You must submit your proposals one week prior to the meeting for which you would like your proposal to be considered. It is a good idea to submit your proposal 1-2 months prior to your event so that you will have funds available well in advance of your event.

Funding Guidelines/Priorities   MPC funding is intended to provide seed money to student organizations, not to fund an entire event.  Funding will be considered for events that promote diversity in at least one of the following ways.  Check which of these you feel your proposed program meets. MPC does not allow funds to be used for food purchases, or refreshments unless such purchases are an integral part of the program (i.e. demonstrating diversity through various ethnic foods).

Underrepresented Student Advisory Council (USAC)

ALL applications must be typed; otherwise they will not be accepted. Please submit electronically to: ss23@txstate.edumd14@txstate.edu; rd1143@txstate.edu; and your advisor(s). Please inform advisors to “Reply to All” after receiving the copy of your proposal with their approval.

Submission of a proposal is not a guarantee to receive funding, you will be responsible for any follow-up correspondence with Melissa Derek 245-2278 regarding the status of your proposal. We receive many proposals throughout the year, and unfortunately we do not have the resources to fund them all.  Please make sure you adhere to the USAC requirements concerning programming.

Advisors must respond to the electronic submission with their approval, or your proposal will not be considered for funding.

Post-Event Evaluation Forms (PEEF)

Return this form along with all of your event receipts in an envelope to the MSA Office in the LBJSC 5-2.2 within 2 weeks of your event. You must turn in this form to close out your account or receive any reimbursements. Failure to return this form will result in “Temporary Inactive Status.” Status will be re-activated once the form is returned. All organizations that are inactive are ineligible to receive funding.
