The Leadership Institute for Minority Males (LIMM) is designed to provide gender-specific support for minority males through leadership training and development to positively affect retention, academic success, and graduation rates of Hispanic/Latino and African American Males.
Program modeled after the African American Men of Arizona State University (AAMASU) Program at Arizona State University.
Grown Man Discussions are bi-monthly empowerment discussion groups specifically for underrepresented males that address issues facing underrepresented males on the Texas State college campus. Currently, the group meets in the LBJ-Student Center Room 4-9.1 (USAC Meeting Room) on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm.

Once a semester members of LIMM and various student organizations collaborate to create a leadership forum (lectures, workshops, and panel discussions) to discuss topics such as the identity, economic empowerment, education, fellowship, and health of the minority male.

This component of LIMM is an early outreach service program designed to provide preparation and mentoring to high school students for the purposes of college enrollment. Member of LIMM meet with male high school students and parents to relate their experience with college enrollment, financial aid, involvement in organizations, and mentoring.
