HHC President, Jeremy Johnson at Fall 2008 Presentation
Since 2004, the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs has partnered with the
Texas State Hip Hop Congress to present the Diversity Presentation at PAWS Preview new student orientation.
PAWS Preview is a transition program, designed to give new students at Texas State ‘just in time’ information that will help in becoming a successful college students. This is a required program for all entering freshmen with 0-29 credit hours. A first year at a new university can set the tone for an entire college experience -- it's important to get off to the right start. At PAWS Preview, presenters provide students the tips and resources you'll need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
This interactive and entertaining presentation uses the culture of hip hop as medium to discuss and relate the importance of diversity at Texas State and beyond. PAWS Preview will take place August 21-23, 2009 in the LBJ Student Center. If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, don't miss this presentation.
