Educational Talent Search is a federally funded early intervention program that identifies and assists students from populations traditionally underrepresented in post secondary education (i.e.: first-generation and low-income students) in grades six through 12. This concentrated effort is designed to help disadvantaged students who have the potential to succeed in higher education better understand their educational opportunities and options.
In addition to personalized advising, participants receive information about college admissions requirements, scholarships and various student financial aid programs. We encourage them to graduate from high school and continue on to the postsecondary institution of their choice.
Our ultimate goal is to increase the number of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in post secondary education.
